(Wichita, Kan.) – Catholic Charities Wichita (CCW) is pleased to announce the hiring of Valerie White as the major gifts and special projects officer.
“The mission and goals of Catholic Charities to serve those in need in our local and Southeast Kansas communities could not be achieved without the generous gifts of donors,” said Traci Kennedy, executive director of Catholic Charities. “I am thrilled Valerie will play an integral role to build relationships and execute fundraising initiatives to further empower, stabilize and improve the lives of individuals and families.”

White is a team player, bringing her experience in fund development which plays a pivotal role at Catholic Charities.
As a small business owner, she previously worked with several nonprofits locally as a fundraising strategy and project management consultant and was also the former director of community advancement and development at the Kansas Food Bank. White has also held positions including community impact manager- health at the United Way of the Plains, development administrator at KU Endowment Association, director of admissions and recruiting at Cowley College and senior recruiting assistant for Football at Indiana University. She holds a Master of Business Administration from Wichita State University and a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from the University of Kansas.
