The licensed mental health professionals at Cana Counseling hold master’s degrees in clinical social work, marriage and family therapy, or a related field. They have additional training and education in areas of specialty.

Director of Cana Counseling

George is a licensed clinical marriage and family therapist. He has a background in treating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, marital and relationship discord, attention deficit disorders, developmental disorders including autism, spectrum disorders, men's issues, and issues with sexuality. He has experience with special needs children and child behavioral problems, as well as assisting parents in developing different skills for working with their children.

Lisa Butler

Lisa Butler, LCMFT, LCAC

Lisa Butler has been a therapist since 2008 and has worked in both private practice and community mental health prior to coming home to Catholic Charities. She is dually licensed in the state of Kansas as a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family therapist and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor. Lisa works with families, couples, and individuals from toddlers to the elderly. As a wife and a mother of three, she has a true passion for strengthening relationships and enjoys collaborating with her clients to move through individual and relational issues that affect the mind, body, and spirit. Lisa is also trained in EMDR therapy and approved as a Gottman Seven Principles Program Educator.

Katelyn Aguiar

Katelyn Aguiar, LMLP

Katelyn is a Licensed Masters Level Psychologist. She is a native of the Wichita Diocese and enjoys utilizing her skill set to provide service to the Wichita area. Katelyn has experience working with clients in a variety of settings and is passionate about meeting clients where they are in the treatment process. She enjoys working with children coping with behavior difficulties, special needs, and adjustment issues. She also has experience working with diagnoses of Autism, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and clients coping with traumatic brain injuries, among others. She is currently taking clients ages five and older, along with families and couples seeking treatment.

Lindsey Zimmerman

Lindsey Zimmerman, LMSW

Lindsey is a Licensed Master Social Worker. Prior to joining Cana, Lindsey worked in child welfare and worked with families and individuals that were dealing with a variety of mental health issues such as drug abuse/ drug dependency, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and ODD to name a few. She is currently taking clients ages five and older, along with families, and couples seeking treatment.

Veronica Hund

Veronica Hund

Bilingual Program Assistant

Veronica joined the Catholic Charities team in 2013. She is a native of Wichita, and lived in Mexico for eight years while teaching English and working for the American Consulate. Veronica is fluent in Spanish and English and serves the Cana Counseling as a first point of contact for clients and referral sources. Veronica enjoys her role serving our clients and bridging the cultural and language gap for Spanish-speaking persons.
