The licensed mental health professionals at Cana Counseling hold master’s degrees in clinical social work, marriage and family therapy, or a related field. They have additional training and education in areas of specialty.
George Sevick, LCMFT
Director of Cana Counseling
George is a licensed clinical marriage and family therapist. He has a background in treating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, marital and relationship discord, attention deficit disorders, developmental disorders including autism, spectrum disorders, men's issues, and issues with sexuality. He has experience with special needs children and child behavioral problems, as well as assisting parents in developing different skills for working with their children.
Lisa Butler, LCMFT, LCAC
Lisa Butler has been a therapist since 2008 and has worked in both private practice and community mental health prior to coming home to Catholic Charities. She is dually licensed in the state of Kansas as a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family therapist and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor. Lisa works with families, couples, and individuals from toddlers to the elderly. As a wife and a mother of three, she has a true passion for strengthening relationships and enjoys collaborating with her clients to move through individual and relational issues that affect the mind, body, and spirit. Lisa is also trained in EMDR therapy and approved as a Gottman Seven Principles Program Educator.
Bilingual Program Assistant
Veronica joined the Catholic Charities team in 2013. She is a native of Wichita, and lived in Mexico for eight years while teaching English and working for the American Consulate. Veronica is fluent in Spanish and English and serves the Cana Counseling as a first point of contact for clients and referral sources. Veronica enjoys her role serving our clients and bridging the cultural and language gap for Spanish-speaking persons.
