Our Daily Bread Food Pantry, a ministry program of Catholic Charities, is facing unprecedented demand as it works to feed nearly 1,000 hungry families each month. This marks a 21 percent increase in food distribution compared to last year, highlighting the growing challenge of hunger in our community.
The pantry relies on the generosity of donors and community members to meet these needs. Catholic Charities is dedicated to stabilizing and empowering individuals and families facing poverty, abuse, homelessness or living with disability while upholding their human dignity. Guided by Catholic social teaching, the food pantry, along with other Catholic Charities programs, serves all people, regardless of faith, with compassion and respect.

“It is a blessing to serve each person who walks through our doors,” said Derek Tyler, program director at Our Daily Bread Food Pantry. “We are truly thankful for the support we receive from this community, which enables us to continue to provide food and hope to people in need.”
Our Daily Bread Food Pantry is open to anyone in the greater Wichita area. Families can visit once a month to choose several days’ worth of food based on their household size. However, with increased demand, resources are being stretched to the limit. High priority items include canned meat, proteins, breakfast items, condiments, etc.
If you would like to support the food pantry by donating food, organizing a food drive or by making a monetary gift please visit CatholicCharitiesWichita.org/events/food-drives/. Together, we can make a difference and ensure no family goes hungry.
