Helping hope find its way home
Homelessness and poverty are not just big-city issues. In rural areas, these challenges can be even greater with fewer resources for help, limited anonymity and a heavy stigma that’s hard to overcome.
We walk alongside vulnerable individuals and families in Southeast Kansas, helping them find stable housing to call home and the support they need to feel hopeful and resilient.
How We Help
A hub of resources for Southeast Kansans
Instead of isolating problems, we coordinate multiple types of support through referrals to community partners—such as housing assistance, education and community resources in a unified plan.
These “wraparound services” are tailored to the specific strengths, needs and goals of each client.
Case Management
Case management helps individuals and families identify root problems that led to their current situation, address daily needs and provide referrals to community resources. Our friendly case managers partner with clients to set short- and long-term goals, guiding them toward achievable steps and helping build the life choices needed to reach those goals.
Referrals to Community Partners
Supporting individuals experiencing homelessness often requires a team effort—it’s never the work of just one organization. When someone doesn’t meet our eligibility requirements, we collaborate with other local agencies to ensure they get the help they need.
We’re proud to partner with groups such as Wesley House, the Kansas Department for Children and Families, the Salvation Army, SEK-CAP, Smart Start and local churches, referring individuals to the organization best equipped to meet their unique needs.

Support the work that’s helping your neighbors
Our work in helping people stay in their homes while guiding them toward goals that meet their daily needs is vital to those who walk through our doors each day. But it doesn’t happen without the faithful support of a caring community.
In rural areas, overcoming these barriers is even more challenging because the needs are so great. Fortunately, the generosity of our donors is greater. Because of your continued support, we can keep serving the most vulnerable in our community.
More about how your support helps
