Help people facing hardship hold on to hope
Last year, more than 18,000 people turned to Catholic Charities because they were experiencing poverty, abuse, homelessness or living with disability.
They came in desperation and found hope because people like you cared.
Since 1943, Catholic Charities has been taking these words of Jesus Christ to heart: “Whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.”
Each person who enters our doors is treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their situation, faith or past. Your support is an investment in the following services:
- Food for families and people struggling to make ends meet
- Emergency shelter for families experiencing homelessness
- Support programs for veterans and their families without housing or at risk of losing their housing
- Safe housing and support for survivors of domestic violence
- Housing assistance to help working families or veterans have a place called “home”
- Job and budget coaching through case management
- Affordable care for adults living with disability, professional counseling services and support for low-income senior citizens

Stewardship and fiscal accountability
You can trust Catholic Charities to invest your gift with wisdom and accountability. Catholic Charities strives to be excellent stewards of the resources you and the Lord entrust to us.
Every year, 85% or more of every dollar invested by generous donors is spent on programs to benefit our neighbors in need.
We strive to be transparent. Our 990 reports, annual audits and annual impact reports are always available on the Reporting page of our website.
Your support remains local. It will be used to fund the programs of Catholic Charities in the Greater Wichita and Southeast Kansas areas.
While we are part of the Catholic Charities USA network, Catholic Charities of Wichita operates independently of any other agency in the network.
As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, every contribution is tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law and directly supports people in Catholic Charities programs.
We are guided by fundraising standards and laws. Our fundraising efforts are guided by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Code of Ethical Standards and Donor Bill of Rights.
