Good questions

How do I record my volunteer hours?

Volunteer hours will automatically be recorded when you log in and log out of the volunteer portal for each of your scheduled shifts. If you need training, please call the volunteer coordinator at (316) 264-8344, ext. 1261.

Emails from the volunteer portal are going to my junk folder or are not getting through my email filters. What should I do?

After receiving an email from our volunteer coordinator, add their email address to your device’s contacts.

After completing your profile, please add our send address to your safe sender list to ensure you get important volunteer information and news from the volunteer coordinator, including background check requirements. The address for our volunteer coordinator is Volunteer@CatholicCharitiesWichita.org.

If I am sick and unable to make it to a volunteer shift, what do I do?

Please call/email your volunteer supervisor first. Then log into your CERVIS volunteer account and cancel your shift.

If I have problems signing in to my account, whom do I contact?

Please contact the Catholic Charities volunteer coordinator at (316) 264-8344, ext. 1261.

May I bring a child with me to volunteer?

If your child is in kindergarten and at least five years old, you may bring the child as part of a family or group volunteer opportunity. You must, however, sign your child up along with other members of the group. Families are considered groups. 

If you are an ongoing individual volunteer and cannot find childcare, please check with the program volunteer supervisor at your location before bringing a child to your scheduled volunteer time.
