Other ways to give

Give in a way that works for you

From dinners and fun experiences to casual dress days and your birthday celebration, there are countless ways that you can change lives.

Ask your employer, family, church, community organization, club or school to host a fundraiser for our neighbors in need of food, housing or support to leave an abusive partner. Catholic Charities welcomes the fundraising support of people and organizations who want to change lives through our services.

Host your own fundraising event

Get creative. You, your friends or team at work can raise funds and have fun doing it.

Casual Dress Day at your work

Your place of employment can host casual dress days requiring staff to donate a set amount to wear jeans or other fun attire. Donations can be made to Catholic Charities.

Birthday celebration

For your birthday or any celebration, host your own fundraiser for Catholic Charities. Plan a dinner at home and invite your friends and family. We’ll provide a video showcasing our programs, giving envelopes and a QR code linking to a fundraising page for your event.

Celebrity virtual event

A one-hour experience event featuring a virtual visit from celebrity talent can range from cooking and baking demonstrations to wine and spirits tastings, engaging your guests.

Let us know what you are planning so we can help with guidance and resources. We can help with ideas, toolkits, online platforms and more. We’ll even provide our most powerful video showcasing lives that have been changed.

For more information on hosting an event or a collection drive, call a development team member at (316) 264-8344, ext. 1262.

Non-Cash (Gift-In-Kind) Donations

In most cases, the veterans, survivors, individuals and families who come to Catholic Charities in need of safe housing, or housing support, have only the clothes on their back or all their possessions in a few bags.

When they are ready to move into sustainable housing, they lack the most basic necessities for setting up a home. The children we serve need school supplies, and the lives of many of our clients—young and old alike—are enriched through art projects. Catholic Charities operates several buildings that require cleaning and sanitization.

What and How To Gift In Kind

Donations of new items such as towels, bed linens, personal care items, cleaning and laundry products, diapers, small appliances and housewares, art supplies, gift cards and so many more items help our clients lead dignified and enriching lives.

Catholic Charities accepts in-kind donations of new* items only by appointment at our administrative offices at 437 N Topeka Ave, Wichita. We also accept donations of new items at our Catholic Charities Pittsburg Office at 1005 E Jefferson St in Pittsburg.

For more information or to schedule an appointment to drop off new items, please call a development team member at (316) 264-8344, ext. 1262.

*Catholic Charities does not have the capacity to wash and sanitize used clothing, household linens or furniture. Please consider donating gently used items such as these to the Klothes Kloset at United Methodist Open Door, 402 E 2nd St. in downtown Wichita, or call them at (316) 265-9371.
