Food drives for Our Daily Bread
Help fill the shelves of our food pantry
You can help by donating items from our list or by hosting a food drive at your work, neighborhood, or church.

About Our Daily Bread Food Pantry
No one should have to face hunger alone during difficult times.
Our Daily Bread is here to offer caring support through supplemental food assistance.
The food pantry is open to anyone in the greater Wichita area who is hungry and needs food for themselves or their families. Many come for food because of an unforeseen crisis, illness, job loss or accident.
List Of Needs For the Food Pantry
Urgent needs:
- Canned pineapple
- Canned SPAM
- Canned chicken
- Canned peaches (15 oz.)
- Chicken noodle soup
- Canned chili
- Canned beef stew
- Spaghetti sauce
Please do not donate items in glass jars. Small cans with a pop-top are helpful for our homeless patrons. Families prefer regular-sized canned food. Pantry visitors cannot use a gallon of vegetables, fruit or sauce. For safety reasons, we cannot distribute expired food, so please check expiration dates and refrain from bringing expired items to the pantry.
Ways to help
There are many ways to answer God’s call to feed the hungry by supporting the work of Our Daily Bread Food Pantry:
Host a food drive
Collect non-perishable food items at work, a civic group, in your neighborhood or at church. We have the tools to make it easy!
Donate non-perishable food
- Easy 24/7 drop off bin at Our Daily Bread, 2825 S. Hillside St., Wichita, KS 67216
- Drop off your donation at any of the current drop-off locations.
Give
Our Daily Bread is primarily funded through the generosity of individual donors and families. For every dollar given, we can purchase $7 worth of food from the Kansas Food Bank!
Prefer to mail your gift? Address it to: Catholic Charities, 437 N Topeka, Wichita, 67202. On your check memo, write “Our Daily Bread Food Pantry.”
Volunteer
Help clients directly while the pantry is open, or help “behind the scenes” by organizing donated items, restocking shelves or cleaning the pantry. The pantry is staffed entirely by volunteers and led by one staff member.
