Back to School Drive
Help restock essentials that support children, families and seniors.
Supplies are needed year round
Our Back to School Drive helps restock the essentials that make daily life a little brighter for those we serve year-round, not just in the classroom.
This July and August, we’re collecting items for
- Families staying at St. Anthony Family Shelter
- Survivor families staying at Harbor House Domestic Violence Shelter
- Classroom mentors in the Foster Grandparent Program
- Participants in our Adult Day Services program including adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as well as seniors with Alzheimer’s or dementia
Your donations help provide comfort, dignity and joy througout the year.
Wish list items include:
- Personal care items (shampoo, body wash, textured hair products)
- Kid-friendly goods (outdoor toys, night lights)
- Enrichment tools (craft supplies, puzzles, games, headphones, earbuds)
- Gift cards, storage totes and other helpful everyday items

Your dollars can help make someone’s stay more comfortable.
If you don’t have time to get out to shop, you can shop our wish at Amazon or you can make a financial contribution. Donated dollars will allow the team at Harbor House to purchase items that are most needed, when they are needed. Here are ways that your dollars could help:

Harbor House Domestic Violence Shelter
Harbor House is more than a domestic violence emergency shelter, helping hundreds escape domestic violence in Wichita.
The ministry helps thousands of survivors who do not even step foot in the shelter, instead receiving services in the community or through a 24/7 hotline.
St. Anthony Family Shelter
St. Anthony is the only Wichita-area shelter designed specifically for families with minor children.
The ministry helps thousands of families with basic needs, assistance and support so they may gain stable housing, receive asistance with employment, and education on fianancial literacy, parenting and other life skills.
