Catholic Charities Pittsburg Office is excited to partner once again with the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas (CFSEK) for Match Week 2025, happening November 10–14.

During Match Week, the Catholic Charities Endowment Fund is one of several funds eligible to receive a share of $100,000 in matching funds from CFSEK. The match amount is prorated based on total dollars raised, meaning the more contributions received, the greater the benefit for Catholic Charities and the neighbors it serves in Southeast Kansas.

“The support and generosity from CFSEK helps us sustain our work in Southeast Kansas through the Catholic Charities Pittsburg Office,” said Traci Kennedy, executive director of Catholic Charities.

“Match Week allows donors to make an even greater impact, helping us provide housing, case management and support for families, survivors and veterans while strengthening hope for our community’s future.”

What is the Catholic Charities Endowment Fund

Established in October 2021 with an initial $25,000 contribution from Catholic Charities, the endowment fund provides individuals, businesses, and foundations the opportunity to make a lasting investment in the agency’s mission in Southeast Kansas.

Supporting the work of Catholic Charities in Southeast Kansas

Since opening its Pittsburg office in 1989, Catholic Charities has served an 11-county region in Southeast Kansas, offering a variety of services that strengthen families and promote stability.

The downtown Pittsburg office primarily assists individuals and families in securing and maintaining safe, affordable housing through several programs and grants. The Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program focuses on preventing homelessness and promoting long-term stability for veterans and their families.

In addition, SAFE Project, a collaboration with the Kansas Department for Children and Families, helps survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault overcome barriers to employment, housing, and long-term self-sufficiency.
