Wendy Glick has been named the new executive director of Catholic Charities, Inc. – Diocese of Wichita. She takes over on April 3 when Mike Burrus, who has served in the role for the last three years, retires.
Glick has worked at Catholic Charities since 2011 in the roles of Director of Development and Community Relations followed by Senior Director of Mission Services and Development. Before that she was executive director of The Lord’s Diner for the Catholic Diocese of Wichita for nearly 10 years. Glick began as the first volunteer coordinator for The Lord’s Diner in 2002, moving from a similar position at Catholic Charities.
Since she joined Catholic Charities, the agency has seen a 317 percent increase in revenue generated by the Annual Fund. In addition, Glick was instrumental in presenting the 2012-2017 Strategic Plan results and recommendations for the future of the agency.
Catholic Charities Board Chair, Arlin Beer, said Glick will provide a great face for the agency and its fourteen programs that alleviate poverty and build strong families.
"We are very fortunate to have someone with excellent development and leadership skills as the face of this organization and its mission to serve families."
Glick said she is honored and humbled to be chosen as the next executive director of Catholic Charities.
"I would like to express my appreciation to the Catholic Charities Board of Directors and to Bishop Carl Kemme for their confidence in my ability to lead the organization."
