We’ve all seen the Go Fund Me pages as we scroll through social media. People raising money for a worthy cause by spreading the word through various social mediums.

In 2017 in conjunction with Bags To Riches a fundraising opportunity called The Queen Bee was born. “Bags” benefits the shelter service of Catholic Charities; Harbor House domestic violence shelter and St. Anthony Family Shelter for homeless families. Essentially, The Queen Bees are “key influencers” who have a passion for serving those in need and in 2017 the group raised more than $18,000 for the families in shelter.

2018 has brought about the next class of Queen Bees. This year there are four. These women have developed unique ways to spread the message about Catholic Charities and to raise funds.

One donor is having a party to raise money for the families. Summertime Sparkle – Wicked Murder is one party you don’t want to miss. Mark your calendar of Sunday evening, July 15, 6:00 P.M., Venue 3130 (3130 W. Central, Wichita, KS). Cost per ticket is $100 - advance sales only.
