WICHITA, Kan. – B98 FM’s Brett Harris rides from business to business Tuesday, Dec. 1 – Saturday, Dec. 5, to gather items donated by the community for women and children served at Catholic Charities Harbor House and the YWCA Women’s Crisis Center. Harris has dedicated years to helping women and children fleeing abuse. It is a cause near to his heart and Stuff the Bus is the result. Harris joins with co-sponsors and numerous local businesses each year to collect supplies and items for local domestic violence shelters and approximately half of the total items needed for the year at each Wichita shelter. Stuff the Bus also runs in Hutchinson helping a shelter there.
Join Harris as he travels the city on a bus with a mission. Stuff the Bus has become a symbol of generosity within our community as the city bus is stuffed with items to help women. Throughout the year, many of the women in the shelter learn to ride buses to get to where they need to go, but at Christmas, a Wichita Transit bus travels the city on their behalf collecting items to help them. This year’s sponsors are B-98 FM, Preferred Health Systems, Carey, Thomas, Hoover, & Breault Investments, and Wichita Transit.
Who can help “STUFF” the bus?
