The Big Idea

 

On Oct. 22 at the Murdock Theatre, Start Strong Wichita partnered with area community programs to launch “The Big Idea”.  This event focused on creating a positive environment for area youth and launched the initiative to build healthy relationships for the Wichita Area.

The students were entertained during the event by the “Feels Good Band” while they created posters answering the question: What does a healthy relationship look like to you? The group heard original music, stories, and poetry by local teens, performed a new line dance, listened to a new song written by a North High Senior, and finished by marching downtown.  A very special thanks goes out to the partners and media that attended or covered the event– The Wichita Eagle, B98, 93.9, KAKE, KSN, KFDI, Eagle Radio, Boys & Girls Clubs, YMCA, WASAC, and The Murdock Theatre.
