On Thursday, Nov. 19 about noon during the Christmas Sharing assistance
sign-up, a few families offered to share their personal stories with you. We would like you to meet them.
Martha’s Story
![]() |
Martha is married and has two children. This Christmas season, limited work created less money for the family. She signed up for Christmas Sharing after someone told her she would qualify. She was comfortable talking to staff in her native language- Spanish.Â
Crystal’s Story
![]() |
Crystal recently found herself raising two children alone. This is her first time applying for Christmas assistance. A native Wichitan, she works deligently to make ends meet and provide for her children. She is thankful that this program can help her during this difficult year of adjustment.  Â
 Jennifer’s Story
Jennifer is a single mom with two children. Working a low wage job and having lots of expenses, she didn’t have the money for her children to get anything for Halloween. For the first time, she signed up for Christmas assistance because she wants her children to have something for Christmas. Little Justus was hard to keep up with as he joyfully bounced around playing in front of the camera.Â
These are just a few of the 400+ families who signed up for assistance this year. Help is needed. To make a donation online now, please click here . To see our needs list and find out where to take donations, please click here.
